Dead Brothers alive – new album!

“I have no memories, I only have scars”, sings main Dead Brother Alain Croubalian on this, the Dead Brothers’ eighth album. It’s called “Angst”, and – to be perfectly honest – it’s just as brilliant as all the ones that went before. It is released on 9 February 2018 on Reverend Beat Man’s supergroovy Voodoo Rhythm label.

Formed by Alain Croubalian after the end of the legendary Genevan post-punk outfit Maniacs in the late 1990s, the Dead Brothers, with a tuba instead of a bass guitar, combine rattling rockabilly rhythms, central European folk fiddles and a love of Cramps with a deep understanding of how there’s nothing more uplifting in music than sad melodies and lyrics about everything that can go wrong in life. Dead Brothers are probably the closest any Swiss band has ever come to inhabiting the same musical cloud as Tom Waits. They celebrate the release of another album full of balm for tortured souls with an extensive tour of Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.

Voodoo Rhythm Records has a global distribution network. Check it out here.
