Grandbrothers out in the “Open”

Cityslang-signed piano duo Grandbrothers celebrate the release of their second album “Open” with an extensive tour of Europe. Beginning in early November and lasting well into December, the tour takes in Germany, Poland, Luxembourg, Italy, France, UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria and Ireland. On some of these dates they will be supporting the like-minded Bonobo.

Düsseldorf-based Grandbrothers are German-Turkish pianist Erol Sarp and Swiss software designer and engineer Lukas Vogel. Whilst Sarp plays the keyboard in a conventional way, Vogel samples fragments of his playing and feeds these back into the music. Vogel has also constructed a complex mechanical apparatus with which he can further influence and change the instrument’s sounds.
