Hello Adieu! New Album from Adieu Gary Cooper released worldwide

Their first album “Bleu Bizarre” (2014) led to a tour of China which was in turn immortalised in a live album, “Souvenirs de Chine” (2016). Now, the “French singing noise pop band” (their own description) from Geneva are ready to release their second album proper, “Outsiders”. It comes out in Switzerland on 12 May via Cheptel Records and a fortnight later in France and the rest of the world via Casbah Records.

Having started off as a “folk-garage” band, Adieu Gary Cooper have integrated more electronic elements in their wall-of-guitar sound. In particular, the influence of seminal New York synth duo Suicide has become more pronounced. At the same time, the melodies remain steeped in the traditions of French chanson complete with lyrics which explore themes of modern working life, exploitation and unemployment.
