m4music Festival, Conference & Demotape Clinic 2014
The annual m4music festival/conference is Switzerland’s most important communication and discussion forum for national and international music business professionals. Taking place in Lausanne (27 March) and Zurich (28/29 March), it also offers an exceptionally adventurous and international program of live music which is regularly sold out weeks in advance. All panel discussions and keynote speeches are free and open to the public, as are the massively popular demo tape clinics where a selection of artists divided up in four categories (rock, urban, pop, electronic) are offered advice by a panel of experts.
M4music is initiated and funded by the arts fund “Kulturprozent”, a fund set up by the co-operative retail chain Migros. Swiss Music Export is one of the partners of Migros Kulturprozent for m4music. The festival is an important vehicle for Swiss artists to bring themselves to the attention of international music business professionals.
