Stefanie Heinzmann Celebrating Circles
Stefanie Heinzmann’s seventh album “Circles” is out now on Seven. One Starwatch/Warner Music. It was recorded in Hamburg, London and Zurich under the guidance of musical director Jake Isaac and produced by Lightning and Steffen Graef.
“Circles” contains a cycle of thirteen songs, all with one-word titles, reflecting the emotional stages of life. Organic percussion and a gospel choir from London are combined with analogue synths and all the tricks of present-day pop production to create a sophisticated pop album with lyrical and musical depth. “Normally, the recording process of an album is incredibly tough”, says Heinzmann. “But this time round, everything worked out much more efficiently because the plan was so clear.”
After a teenage Stefanie Heinzmann won a vastly popular casting show on German television, her debut album “Masterplan” hit the number one spot in Switzerland in 2008, remaining in the top 75 for a staggering forty weeks. It also made the top 3 in Germany and the top 5 in Austria. Many more hit singles and albums followed to make her one of the most successful Swiss pop stars of the past decades.
