Poligone Are Ready for the Storm

Judging from the calm vibe of their elegant synth-chansons, it is difficult to imagine the world of Pauline Bongard and Hugo Dordor would ever be rocked by something as violent as a storm. And yet, here it is, their new EP, entitled „En cas de tempête“ (“In the event of a storm”), out now via Les Disques des crochet.

Hugo Dordor is a super-busy member of Lausanne’s extensive musical community, playing drums for a variety of outfits including Minus One, Your Fault and Potlach. Pauline Bongard’s background, in contrast, is more than a little mysterious. Fact is, shortly after a first meeting during which they established a shared enthusiasm for artists like Flavien Berger, Barbara and L’Impératrice, Pauline showed Hugo some of the lyrics she had written. He liked what he saw and decided to try and compose a musical setting to match their mood. And thus, Poligone was born.
