Alois Enjoying their Night Vision

“Psychedelic songs, trippy grooves, somehow retro and yet futuristic…”, that’s the promise Alois make for this, their third album. And boy, do they deliver! “Night Vision” is released on 28 April 2023 via Red Brick Records.

Their debut album “Mints” landed them the “IndieSuisse Album of the Year 2017”-award. Next came “Azul”, a paean to the healing powers of blue skies which further strengthened their reputation as one of the boldest and, consequently, most interesting bands around. “Night Vision” won’t harm their standing in the slightest. Striving to fulfil the quintet’s desire to capture the intensity, euphoria and wit of their live performances in the studio, producer David Langhart has done a very fine job indeed.

Take a spoonful each of soca, rhumba, samba, reggae and perhaps even the odd dollop of soukous, throw in half a can of Phoenix and a pound of trance, season to taste, mix thoroughly, and you’re halfway there. In other words, “Night Vision” is the perfect summer album for all seasons.
