All the Colours of Veronica Fusaro

At last: Veronica Fusaro’s long-awaited debut album is out. Entitled “All the Colors of the Sky”, it was released on 20 January 2023 via deepdive Records.

Ever since she won the Demotape of the Year award at the m4music festival as a teenager in 2016, Veronica has been recognised as a special talent. There followed a steady stream of impressive singles and EPs as well as an ever increasing number of prestigious live and television performances (not to mention various Swiss Music Export showcases!) – but no album. Clearly, the careful and patient approach to the development of her career, and the honing of her song writing skills, has paid dividends.

Produced in London by Moses Van den Bogaerde (he has worked with his half-sister Birdy, amongst many others), Jamie Ellis and Paul O’Duffy, “All the Colors of the Sky” offers an impressively varied selection of songs in the mold of classic singer/songwriters like Carol King, Carly Simon or Dido. Fleshed out with plenty of organic strings and brass, the mood ranges from the bluesily ruminative to the cheerfully summery. Side D of the vinyl package contains four live recordings, performed solo, one of them her version of “Hemmige” (“inhibitions”), a song written in Swiss-German by the late lamented Mani Matter – one of the most popular and witty Swiss songwriters ever.
