Sensu in Love with “LDN”
“Numéro LDN” is the title of electro/post-drum’n’bass/hip-hop producer Sensu’s new EP, released on 10 June 2022 via Orange Peel Agency. The title, “Numéro LDN” pays tribute both to the French fashion and art magazine “Numéro” whose offshoots in different cities are called “Numéro Berlin” or “Numéro Paris”, and, of course, London, despite Brexit still the most musically exciting place in Europe.
Having previously spent time in Los Angeles, in 2021 Sensu returned to the place where a year earlier she had recorded her much-praised single “Outspoken”. This time round she spent three whole months in London to fully soak up the creative vibes. Working alongside fellow-producer OKAN (Tinie Tempah, Lost Girl, etc) and rising UK rapper Denyher she has developed a new fondness for fast rhythms and melodies. The lead track from “Numéro LDN”, Pink”, has already been featured – and lavished with praise – by the BBC’s Radio 1.
