Timothy Jaromir Feeling Homesick

“Hiraeth” is Welsh and means for “homesickness” and “nostalgia”. It is also the title of the new album from globetrotting singer/songwriter Timothy Jaromir, released in all formats, including a special vinyl edition, on 6 November 2020 on Vissen Records/Little Jig Records.

Timothy’s father arrived in Switzerland in 1968 as a refugee from the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia, his mother was born and raised in the UK whilst his wife, the singer Rykka, is Canadian. No wonder, then, that a recurring theme in his song writing is the contradictory impulses of seeking to put down roots, and the urge to travel. Having recorded his previous albums in Canada, “Hiraeth” was created entirely in Switzerland with a group of musicians who know each other very well. Timothy Jaromir and Rykka, also perform and record as the duo, Goldschatz.
