Popkomm Berlin featuring Evelinn Trouble and Junes

Taking place at Airport Berlin-Tempelhof on 7 and 8 September, the Popkomm Showcases are the live music segment of Popkomm. Artists from all over the place have been granted the opportunity to perform in front of music industry key players. Amongst them, two Swiss acts.

Evelinn Trouble
Wednesday, 7 September 2011, 1:30pm Sonicbids @ Crystal Club

As one can read in her press kit, Evelinn Trouble likes nasty surprises and noise. She sure likes pop melodies as well and on her new album „Television Religion“ she proves to be a darn good writer of that kind of tuneage. The record is supposed to „kick all comparisons in the balls“ and whoever has seen one of her breathtaking performances may have a feeling what this means.

Junes

For their latest album „Don’t Leave Me In Autumn“, this two-piece hailing from Eastern Switzerland have been experimenting with new sounds – distorted guitars, synths as well as a string ensemble which has also found its way into their live sets. Melancholic pop songs that build up quietly and all of a sudden burst into a frenzy.
