Holm go through windows

Holm are a sort of Zurich super-group, consisting of Alessandro Giannelli (drums, Egopusher), Dimitri Käch (guitar, film composer, various bands), and James Varghese (bass, Diskret, Ex-Odd Beholder). Their first album, “Through Windows”, was released on 26 April on Quiet Love Records (Switzerland) and Salvation Records (UK) – where it has already been picked up and played by BBC6’s DJ Gideon Coe. .

“Through Windows” started as a series of improvisation sessions in the basement of a bank in the middle of Zurich. The results of these sessions were boiled down to their essence during a three-day recording sessions in a proper studio. Improvised music can be abrasive and difficult. Holm are different: Oozing calm and self-assurance, “Through Windows” serves up a constantly bubbling stream of fine melodies with subtle twists and flips.
