Vendredi Sur Mer feeling emotional

Vendredi Sur Mer is the nom de plume of 22 year old Charline Mignot, and “Premiers Émois” – “first emotions” – the title of her debut album. The album is released by the French label Profil de Face on 22 March and licenced to Sony ATV.

Straddling the worlds of photography, fashion and music, Franco-Swiss Genevan Charline describes her music as “electro pop glaciale”. The fashion brand Sonia Rykiel discovered the depth and beauty of her songs early on and used several of them as the soundtrack of their Spring/Summer 2017 show. After a handful of memorable singles and EPs, “Premiers Émois” is a startlingly original and mature collection of songs from a singer/songwriter who is clearly intent on doing things her own way. Vendredi sur Mer is supporting the release of the album with a series of concerts in France, Belgium and Switzerland throughout the coming months.
