Rapping resilience from LUM
Multi-lingual rapper LUM’s new EP “Badmami” is available now via Home Crowd Recordings. Providing “Pop-Rap for bad bitches” (it says in her Insta bio), LUM serves up a spicy melange of Bailefunk, Raggaeton and poppy hip-hop with a hint of Spain thrown in. Born and bred in French-speaking Lausanne with a family background in Spain, France and Switzerland, she is now part of the thriving rap/hip-hop scene in Zurich. Moving effortlessly between singing and rapping and seven languages, hers is a message of queer-feminist strength, resilience and joy.
