Lost in Lona Go Deep to Find the Killer

One year after their much-admired debut, Lost in Lona return with their next shot, “The Killer”. The album is available now from Mouthwatering Records.

Lost in Lona are producer/multi-instrumentalist Konstantin Aebli from Basel and much-in-demand vocalist/violinist Lidia Beck from Zurich. In contrast to their violent album title, their music is airy, folky and beautifully arranged, with Lidia’s voice predestined to explore the lighter side of English folk melancholia. The duo’s lyrics, meanwhile, delve into the complexities of life in modern times, without ever resorting to cliché. “Hold On”, for instance, looks at behaviour patterns that are handed down from generation to generation, whilst the title track is about “being young in a world full of expectations”.

Authenticity is essential for us,“ the duo has said. “We are striving to express our genuine feelings and experiences in our music without in any way filtering our motives. That’s why we have decided on a minimalist approach to our music and record everything live in order to catch the moment as honestly and raw as possible.”
