Mel D’s Young Bones
Out now via Two Gentlemen is singer/songwriter Mel D’s much-anticipated debut solo album, “Young Bones”. It was recorded in Zurich and Paris with producers Renaud Letang (Mano Chao, Lianne Le Havas, Feist, and many more) and Mel’s old friend and collaborator, Dino Brandão.
Mel D was previously known as half of mischgewebe, a duo born from a theatre production, well-known for its dreamy blend of pop, pulsating acid house beats and spooky ambient sounds. More recently, thanks to Brandão’s introductions, she was part of the band of one of Switzerland’s most successful recent musical exports, the singer/songwriter Faber. Her solo work is quieter in mood and more personal in message. Gifted with a voice that glides effortlessly across the octaves and is at its most expressive when it barely rises above a whisper, Mel D also appears to have a magic wand for quietly understated melodies.
Mel D celebrates the release of “Young Bones” with a 20-date tour of the GAS countries and Belgium.
