Switzerland Meets Trans Musicales

Another turbulent music year is drawing to an end – and here’s Les Trans to prepare us for all the adventures awaiting us just round the corner. Established in 1979 when most likely none of this year’s performers were even born, Les Rencontres Trans Musicales stands out amongst similar events in Europe for its staunch support for emerging artists and its focus on originality and experimentation. Not to mention the charming setting in this bijou town in Brittany.
Needless to say that we urge you to check out the two SME-supported acts performing at the 46th edition of Trans Musicales, Roshâni and Alice. Both are deeply original in their approach as well as worth it to witness live.
Roshâni | La Cité | Wednesday, 4 Dec 2024 | 22:20 – 23:10
The sonic palette of this trio from Geneva – Roxane Dumont (vocals), Inès Mouzone (bass/keyboards), Yavor Lilov (drums) – is pretty well described by the range of languages used in their lyrics: Farsi, Spanish and French, with added electro beats, cumbia and a touch of global psychedelia.

Alice | Le Liberté | Saturday, 7 Dec 2024 | 17:10 – 17:50
Consisting of mother/daughter/visual artists Lisa and Yvonne Harder and their friend, Sarah André, the three form a mini-choir taking French and Occitan folk songs as a starting point for their riveting vocal harmonies, bizarre stories and witty thrift shop synth beats.
