Marie Jay Zipping Along on her Trottinette

Having prepared the ground locally with a handful of singles over the past seven years, Marie Jay is at last ready to launch herself on the wider world with her debut EP, “Trottinette” (engl., scooter). A superbly talented singer (witness this EP’s title track!) and still only 22, Marie Jay studied the basics of her songwriting craft as a teenager at the BIMM Music Institute in London. Following this, she spent a year at La Gustav, the music school launched by the artist, Gustav, in Fribourg.

The six songs making up her “Trottinette” wittily document the trials and tribulations of a young woman hitting adulthood with a wry sense of humour, wrapped in subtly crafted electropop-chansons.
