Goldschatz Fanning the Flames

Fresh from Little Jig Records comes a new EP from husband/wife team Goldschatz, aka Timothy Jaromir and Rykka. Called «Twin Flame», it documents “life in a van”, with all its joys, jokes and horrors. Thus, “Gemini” tells the story of when the duo sought refuge from the weather in a pub that happened to be hosting a drag show: “Feel surrender”, they sing, “step into the fire towards the night/Feel the flutter, I dropped my guard, I dropped my fight”.

Firmly rooted in the American singer/songwriting tradition, they declare their influences with cover versions of songs by Townes Van Zandt (“I’ll be here in the Morning“) and Courtney Marie Andrews, Jason Blynn and Peter Harper (“Kindness of Strangers”).
