Elvett Climbing the Hill
“Reborn”, they say, after a creative residency at Geneva’s Epicentre, electropop duo Elvett release their new album, «The Hill», via Mouthwatering Records.
Elvett are Lyn (vocals) and Alain (production). Together, they have been releasing a steady stream of elegant electropop singles and albums since around 2015. Almost as long they have been collaborating with singer and pianist Soraya Berent who tours with her own improv trio Wabjie and a Nat King Cole tribute programme. Elvett have now also teamed up with singer/producer Gaspard Sommer, and singers Chloe Baumgartner and Capucine Mugnier. «The Hill» is a collection of sumptuously melodic pop songs somewhere between Yello/Shirley Bassey’s “The Rhythm Divine”, Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” and Alison Moyet.
