Jamila Starts Off With Fade Out
Newly signed to Young + Aspiring, also the home of Annie Taylor and Sam Himself, singer/songwriter Jamila’s debut EP „Fadeout“ is now available. Born and raised in Zurich by Palestinian parents, Jamila spent many years honing her songwriting skills hidden away from the glare of any public. It explains why her debut – recorded in Zurich with producer Claudio Matta – sounds so remarkably assured. Citing the likes of Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridges, Gracie Abrams and Lizzie McAlpine as influences, her songs are an elegantly restrained blend of electronica and organic garnishes, and ruminative, highly personal lyrics.
