Annie Taylor Keep On Smiling

Newly out via Taxi Gauche Records is the hotly anticipated sophomore album from Annie Taylor. Entitled “Inner Smile” it was recorded in Bristol with producer Ali Chant (Yard Act, Aldous Harding, Gruff Rhys, PJ Harvey, etc.).

Losing none of the fiery dynamics of their successful debut, the band have added several new stylistic strings to their rock’n’roll bow. There is also a new drummer, Daniel Bachmann, whom they share with the widely travelled Klaus Johann Grobe. Says Gini Jungi, their charismatic front woman: “Working with Ali was an extraordinary voyage. He truly understood the sonic direction we wanted to pursue and helped us manifest our vision. We spent countless hours in the studio, meticulously defining the guitar sounds and exploring various techniques.” Add to that the experience that comes with several extensive tours in and around Switzerland as well as the UK, and countless festival performances, including Reeperbahn, Montreux and m4music, and you have a band that rocks in a major way!
