Carson Staying Wilfully Ignorant
“The Wilful Pursuit of Ignorance” is the intriguing title of stoner rockers Carson’s third album. Coming at us with a striking cover of a man sporting a headful of bees, it is available now on CD, Vinyl and digital via Sixteentimes Music.
Formed eleven years ago in New Zealand around singer/guitarist Kieran Mortimer-Jones, the band properly took off when he relocated to Lucerne a couple of years later. Consisting of Mortimer-Jones, bassist Elina Willener and drummer Jam Kurmann, Carson are a lean and trim trio with a massive sound built on years of playing live and a telepathic understanding of each other’s strengths. A devoted fan following has already lifted “The Wilful Pursuit of Ignorance” into the middle reaches of the Swiss album charts.
