In fact, Kind & Kinky Zoo are a four-piece from Lausanne in the French part of Switzerland, purveyors of psychedelically inflected funk grooves often fronted by a real organic flute and infused with the spirit of “Shaft”.

“Swamp!” is their second album. Their music is mostly instrumental, though every once in a while, guests like BluRum13, La Nefera or Rickey Calloway step up to the mike. “Swamp!” was released on 4 March 2022 by the long-established Detroit label Funk Night Records – in itself a guarantee of quality.
