Emmanuel De La Paix Releases a “Rescue Pack”

Newly signed to the German Broque label (“Broque represents fresh electronic sounds and experiments from the “Oder auf Brot” community”), the Zurich-based studio composer Emmanuel De La Paix’s debut album “Rescue Pack” was released on 20 October 2021. A series of densely constructed and dramatic pieces of mostly instrumental music, tellingly, Rescue Pack was mastered in Iceland by Birgir Jon Birgirsson who has worked with Sigur Ros, Efterklang and Samaris.

It’s probably best to let the artist explain his motives himself: “As an artist I want to explore the relationship between music, nature and technology. Technology is changing our relationship with Nature (sic) and also ourselves (part of the Nature too). Music is an intimate place of human nature. So, in my music creations I explore the different options that technology gives us, to find new ways to express feelings. The “Rescue Pack” album has also a message: music is the Rescue Pack, the break-glass tool of the human suffering condition.”
