KT Gorique at Les iNOUïS du Printemps de Bourges

It should have happened in spring, and it will now happen in summer: postponed from April due to Covid-19, this year’s Printemps de Bourges is taking place at the end of June. The season might be different, but we’re absolutely certain that the spirit of this most bijou and innovative of boutique festivals in the heart of France will be the same. Once again, Les iNOUïS – the “discovery” section of the programme – offers a wide range of adventurous new music from all over the francophone world. And once again, too, Swiss Music Export will be present, complete with a crate of fine Swiss wine, trays of cheesy nibbles, and, last but not least, music from KT Gorique.

Born in Cote d’Ivoire but raised in Switzerland, KT Gorique is an artist with a unique musical perspective. Blending influences from West African music with reggae and hip-hop, her music and lyrics reflect the experiences of a woman deeply aware of the different cultural strands of her life. Describing her music as ‘Future Roots’, she will present tracks from her super-confident debut album “Akwaba” as well as her brand-new EP, “Heda”.
