Acid Amazonians Conquering Space

The logo of A Tree in a Field Records on a record sleeve is a guarantee for inspired weirdness. “How to Take Up Space” does the tradition proud. Released on 18 June 2021, it is the debut album from Zurich-based experimental electronica trio Acid Amazonians. This is how they describe themselves on their Facebook page: ///girlband///video///music///performance///dance///spoken word///electric and electronic and digital and analogue things///

Recorded live in a small Zurich club, with extra vocal and synth help from engineer Nina Tshomba, “How to Take up Space” is a mad and krautrocky ride through the outer reaches of psychedelically tinged musical and often visual improvisations, suffused with the joy of groove and Dada-esque wit.
