Audio Dope goes “Superlunary”

Post-hip-hop producer Audio Dope’s second album “Superlunary” was released on 24 April by Radicalis. Consisting of eight instrumental tracks laced with the odd vocal sample, “Superlunary” creates a spookily meditative mood that goes well with the empty streets of the present circumstances. In fact, the Italian film maker Jacopo Ficulle has created the perfect video to go along with the new single from the album, “Meteor”, filmed just before lockdown entirely from his widow, from a drone, and in a street populated only by one dancer.

Audio Dope started off in the late 1990s by producing beats in a conventional hip-hop style before expanding his palette with elements from trip-hop, downtempo and lo-fi hip-hop. His debut album was released in 2018. His single streams are swiftly approaching the two-million barrier.
