TRUE Are “Made of Glass”
Three years after their enthralling and successful debut album “Wrapped in Air”, TRUE – aka singer Daniela Sarda and drummer/producer Rico Baumann – return to the world of BBC airwaves, heat-seeker blogs and playlists with “Made of Glass”. Released via Mouthwatering Records on 22 November, their new collection of songs reflects a prolonged period of emotional difficulty without, however, abandoning the band’s trademark blend of experimental R&B, warped electronica and feather-light vocals.
“Along the way, we both went through some extremely tragic episodes, which had a lasting impact on us as individuals”, they write. “Making this album was very much about recovering from grief and figuring out ways to break through the numbness that it causes.” The results feel anything but dark. Light in tone, they exude warmth and optimism in a series of subtle tracks rich with detail and nuance. “Made of Glass” is distributed by Broken Silence Germany.
