Schammasch Crack Billboard Charts
The mystery-shrouded post-dark metal quartet Schammasch from Basel have cracked the US-charts with their fourth album, “Hearts Of No Light”. Released on 8 November by the Los Angeles-based metal label Prosthetic Records,
“Hearts Of No Light” hit number 55 in the Billboard Independent Album Charts, number 17 in the Current Hard Music Albums Charts, and number 20 in the New Artist Charts, whilst also entering the top 200 Current Album charts. In week 47, Bandcamp listed the vinyl version of the album in their top 6 metal album sellers worldwide.
Eschewing any kind of personal glory in order to let their music speak for itself, the band members are known only by their initials, C.S.R., M.A., B.A.W., and A.T. Having started off with an unusually virtuoso style of black metal, Schammasch have arrived at a remarkably multi-facetted and melody-driven type of beefed-up progressive rock that incorporates choral arrangements as well as far Eastern and European folk influences.
