Dirty Sound Magnet go Transgenic
18 October 2019 sees the worldwide release of Dirty Sound Magnet’s new album, “Transgenic”, via Hummus Records. It is the psychedelic rockers’ fourth and available in all formats including coloured vinyl as well as a range of bundles, including t-shirts sporting, like the album sleeve, artwork by drummer Maxime Consadey.
Dirty Sound Magnet define the word “transgenic” thus: “Drowned in this world of advanced technology and hyper-consumerism, individuals struggle to discover their inner self or communicate with each other. The album lays out a disturbing view of the present and the near future, with the significance of Social Media, and increasingly alarming ecological issues giving shape to an Orwellian dystopia.”
Steeped in classic sixties rock à la Steppenwolf and Doors as well as more recent fare like Oh Sees or Black Angels, and, they say, Eastern Mysticism, the trio will celebrate the release with 32 mind-expanding dates in Germany, UK, Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland. This, after having toured Spain and Portugal in October.
