Sandor goes international

Sandor is a female singer/songwriter from Lausanne whose synth-pop is melodically rooted in the French chanson tradition as well as contemporary artists like Etienne Daho. Sandor develops a very personal musical universe, sweet and sour at the same time, inspired by the synthetic pop of the 80’s. With her strong and solemn voice, she presents a charming but also disturbing aura strengthened by enigmatic texts.

Sandor takes her name from Saroltà Vay, Earl of Sandor (1859-1918), a transvestite Hungarian author with indecent manners.

After two EPs – one of them a tribute to the sadly departed American/Mexican singer/songwriter Lhasa de Sela – she has at last produced a debut album. Entitled “Sandor”, it was released via Irascible distribution in Switzerland in February, and on 12 April internationally via Differ-Ant.
