Diskretly beautiful

They wanted nothing more than a few peaceful days in the mountains. They ended up bringing home a complete EP. “Diskret” by Diskret was released worldwide via Salvation Records and in Switzerland via Quiet Love Records on 22 March.

James Varghese and Ramon Ziegler have known each other for many years. Both are pillars of the Zurich music scene, James as a co-founder and ex-member of Odd Beholder, and Ramon as a member of Anna Kaenzig’s band and Black Sea Dahu. Feeling the need for some clean mountain air and nice views, Diskret set off for a few days in the mountains with no plans at all for forming a band or anything like that. They couldn’t resist the temptation, however, to pack a few synths and other bits and pieces to make noise. And then they were snowed in. Nothing to do but make music and eat fondue! Before they knew it, “Diskret” was born – graceful, elegant ambient sounds to watch mountains and clouds drift past the window to.
