Phall Fatale’s “Moonlit Bang Bang” released internationally
Having been released in Switzerland to great acclaim, Phall Fatale’s second album “Moonlit Bang Bang” is released internationally with the exception of the UK on 16 January by Qilin Records via Broken Silence. In the UK, the album comes out on Slowfoot Records via Kudos Distribution.
Phall Fatale are a kind of super group consisting of some of the most innovative and stylistically diverse musicians in Switzerland (plus one Brit!): Joana Aderi (vocals, keys, electronics), John Edwards (double-bass), Fredy Studer (drums, percussion), Joy Frempong aka one half of OY (vocals, keys, electronics) and Daniel Seiler (double-bass, devices). Produced by Roli Mosimann in his studio in Poland, “Moonlit Bang Bang” is an exhilarating joyride across genres. This second album is perhaps a bit more organically percussive and voice-drive than the first, and a little less electronic. The percussive vocal interplay between Aderi and Frempong is extraordinarily powerful and yet subtle.
