The Birthday Girls live on BBC Radio

The Birthday Girls aren’t girls at all but a quartet of manly rock musicians in the Kings of Leon mould. Formed three years ago in Zurich, they swiftly grew into one of the tightest live bands in Switzerland. Their debut album "Trust the Girls" was released in November 2012. It impressed the global talent spotters of the BBC radio show "BBC Introducing…" so much they invited the band to play one of their hugely popular acoustic live sessions in January (the BBC show has been a launch pad for the careers of Florence + the Machines and Marina & the Diamonds, amongst others). After a highly impressive performance, an invitation to play a proper "Fullplugged"-Session swiftly followed. This will be aired live on 25 May, 20.00 – 21.00. The Birthday Girls will also be playing at Brighton’s Alternative Escape Festival, The Loft, Brighton, Saturday 18 May, 14.50.
