Camilla Sparksss releases new single

Camilla Sparksss is the noisy electro alter ego of film maker Barbara Lehnhoff who is also a member of the band Peter Kernel. Camilla’s second single this year, entitled „Precious People“ (On The Camper Records), was mastered by Simon Davey (Justice, Daft Punk, the Kills). It is released in two formats, 7″ vinyl single and temporary tattoo. „Precious People“ combines a short but hypnotic steeldrum motif with synthetic beats, a fierce electronic wall of sound and an astonishing vocal performance which begins with a laconic semi-rap and ends in a fearsome battle cry. Camilla lists as her influences artists as diverse as Crystal Castles, Soft Moon, Death Grips and Grimes, but her sound is hers, and hers alone. Camilla Sparksss supports the release of her new single with a number of gigs in Belgium, France and Switzerland.

Mama Rosin’s „Bye Bye Bayou“ is released in North America

Geneva-based Cajun-Punk-Blues outfit Mama Rosin have long been festival favourites across the whole of Europe. The release of their new album „Bye Bye Bayou“ (Moi J’Connais Records) on 15 April 2013 in the USA and on 4 June in Canada (on the Bonsound label) should help to dramatically increase the size of their audiences in North America, too. „Mama Rosin are a rare band that combine familiar influences in subtle and striking ways to achieve a wholly unique and very personal form of music,“ says Jon Spencer who produced the album.

Pegasus album „Human.Technology“ receives international release

Inspired originally by Sixties bands like The Beatles, The Hollies and The Who, Pegasus from Biel greatly extend their stylistic reach with their third album, „Human Technology“, to include hints of R&B and dance beats. „Human.Technology“ has already reached platinum status in Switzerland. It is now released internationally in eleven territories by the German wing of PIAS Records. Pegasus frontman Noah Veraguth, meanwhile, has become a bonafide pop star in Switzerland after a massively successful collaborative album with rapper Stress and the young singer/songwriter Bastian Baker.
