Le Printemps de Bourges 2009

The 33rd Printemps de Bourges also features the 25th Fnac Revelations, at which some thirty groups and artists on their way up confront professionals, media, and a passionate public. All the current flavours of the month are represented at Bourges – rock, song, electro, folk, hip hop, world music, you name it.
This year’s 31 Revelations were chosen in a unique process uniting Réseau Printemps with Fnac and 30 listener-driven stations making their selection from more than 4000 candidates. There is no other talent-scouting operation on this scale, which is why the Printemps de Bourges has the support of such established partners as the French Ministry of Culture and Bourges City Hall.
The Swiss Revelation Solange la Frange plays the Printemps de Bourges on Thursday, 23 April at 10 pm on the 22 Ouest stage.
Julie Hugo and Tristan Basso thrashed about behind their laser disk players until they finally fell over them, and suddenly found themselves onstage. Fortified by Luca Manco’s bass, they became Solange la Frange, the life of the party in Reykjavik. If Solange played in the desert, the camels would get down.
