Sophie Hunger release of new album “Mondays Ghost“

Sophie Hunger, who grew up in London, Germany and Switzerland, released her first home recorded album „Sketches on Sea“ in 2006, by simply handing it around among friends in Zürich. This collection of songs spread like wildfire becoming a somewhat underground cult hit and was accompanied by her impressive live performances. She started playing sold out shows, selling thousands of records and ultimately provoked an unprecedented attention among the print media in her country Switzerland.
Six months after her first recordings you would find her playing in Paris’ "Bataclan“ with Stephan Eicher, in Prag’s "Acropolis“ with Erik Truffaz and in London’s "Luminaire“ with The Young Gods. In 2008 she independently released her first studio album „Monday’s Ghost“ which reached No 1 on the Swiss Album Charts and will finally be distributed throughout Europe in early 2009 after signing with Universal Jazz
