Elijah wins the European Reggae Contest 2008

Elijah was born and raised in Zurich, the Swiss reggae capital and in 2007 they recorded their first album “beweg di” (make a move) at the Scrucialists OneDrop Studios, which was released in October 2007. His successful live shows are energetic and he is constantly on tour, not only successfully crossing the language barrier between the French and the German part of Switzerland, but also playing shows all over central Europe.
Swiss Reggae Artists have had a lot of international success in 2008 – Phenomden was a recent number two in the German Reggae-charts whilst Lee Everton’s debut album "Inner Exile" had very strong feedback in Japan where it sold almost 2000 CDs in only four weeks and made it to the number one position of the reggae charts in the leading Tower Records in Tokyo. Look out too for another successful Swiss Reggae artist Dodo who releases a new album out in August.
