Love Motel
They left for New-York in 1996 with a sampler as their only business card, but the duo from Geneva have since made incredible headway. In 2003, Love Motel imposed their solid electro-house style with a first album released to critical acclaim. Their new release, "Mind The Void" (2007), has confirmed this creative talent and opened the doors of many festivals this summer. Mandatory stop at Paléo where the combo will be creating havoc with their big industrial sound, pop gimmicks and sexy melodies!

Solange La Frange
Well known for their inventive energy, the three members of Solange la Frange are a constant subject of conversation on the Swiss and international musical scenes. Creators of crazy T-shirts, improvised hairdressers and above all artisans of electronic punk sound, the trio form Vevey have more than one string to their bow when it comes to arousing enthusiasm. Spotted on the FMR stage in 2007, the trendiest agit-prop merchants of the moment are back at the Festival with their firebrand live show. Lets dance !

Round Table Knights
DJ Questionmark, DJ Atomique and DJ Splinter, three aces of mix that those in the know have been snatching up to animate some wild evenings in Switzerland and abroad. Born in Bern, the combo have been swivelling turntables since the year 2000 in a spirit of diversity: hip-hop, funk, electro, rock… everything goes! “Only for the money and the fame” announced their first album… a title that has been confirmed by experience! Gilles Peterson, RJD2 and The Beatjunkies are just a few of the prestigious artists who have come up against this resolutely « hype » trio. In keeping with their reputations, their live show, accompanied by some sharp visuals, has created a sensation.

Kassette
Lead guitarist of the late Skirt, the girls’ band from Gruyère that graced the stage at Paléo in 1999, Laure Betris, alias Kassette, is back under the spotlight. On her album “Chambre 4”, produced with the help of the Fribourg-based label Saïko, the artist has composed some unparalleled folk melodies. There is certainly a bit of PJ Harvey in these astonishing ambiances and the spare lyrics but the magic is pure Laure Betris. On stage, Kassette hits new heights in trio formation, thanks to a polyvalent drummer and a loop-loving guitarist. Heady stuff !

Gypsy Sound System
Impossible not to swing your hips as you listen to this world music sound of the finest taste that mixes traditional melodies (rumba, Klezmer, Flamenco, gypsy brass band) and modern electrifying tempos influenced by dub and reggae. At the controls of this livewire sound system are two experienced pyromaniacs: one is DJ Olga, from Poland, a jubilant and irresistible songster, the other, her Swiss alter-ego, Dr Schnaps, a delirious ambiance creator and arranger of inventive sounds. When the two meet it’s explosive, and their compositions provide the fireworks. You’ll just love it.
