Swiss Artists at Le Printemps de Bourges 2007

Celyane have been chosen for the ‚Rock Revelations of Le Printemps de Bourges and Fnac‘ stage.

Over 130 artists have the opportunity, from April 17th to the 22nd, to express themselves on 13 stages of Le Printemps de Bourges.

With 26 regional antennae, the team of the Réseau Printemps, reinforced by a team from the FNAC since 2000, spend all year looking for up-and-coming talent, extending an invitation for a slot at the Festival as the plum.

For the 2007 Festival, over 3500 candidates were reviewed, listened to, met and selected by the entire team as a whole.

So, alongside the elders of the music scene, the Printemps de Bourges / FNAC Revelations, 33 artists spread over 4 main musical tendencies: song, rock, hip-hop, electro. This has become one of the principal attractions of the Festival and is carefully followed by the media, the programmers and the public, they, too, curious and looking for new talent. The originality of giving a platform to new talent has proven, each year, that many groups showcased at the Revelations of Bourges successfully pursue professional careers in music afterwards: Nosfell, Guns of Brixton and MAP are this year’s crop.

The motivation and the professionalism of a team, the passion of these young artists, the appreciation of the public (bigger and bigger every year) and of the profession, these are the ingredients of our fabulous network… always alert!

CELYANE
Friday 20th April – La Soute Stage

As we all know, doing rock music in French has always been a perilous exercise. But it’s Celyane’s credo. The Swiss group masterfully manages to combine impetuous guitars and lyrics that are sometimes sibylline, often melancholic but never disappointing. A success.

KRUGER
Saturday 21st of April – Le 22 Ouest stage

A European Printemps
Once again, this year Le Printemps de Bourges accentuates the European connection by presenting a number of artists from the continental scene.

The Hybrid hardcore metal style of these Swiss is in constant evolution, situated somewhere in between Isis, Unsane, Mastodon and Entombed. Kruger slices out its musical trajectory with an ax: mad rage, cavernous-sounding guitars, dense singing and atmospheric rock ’n roll sensations. The power of their compos hits you like an uppercut. The extreme refinement of aggressiveness.
