Blind Butcher ready to take the world

The wonderfully-weirdly-dressed Blind Butcher are an archetypal Voodoo Rhythm band: mad, bad and impossible to resist. The guitar/drums/pedals duo of Christian Aregger and Roland Bucher follow up their Steve Albini-produced debut album with a second LP, “Alawalawa”. Their typically idiosyncratic Voodoo Rhythm PR blurb describes their musical style as “irritating post punk new wave kraut disco”, and that’s not far wrong, at least if you leave out the word “irritating”. “Alawalawa” is released worldwide by Voodoo Rhythm Records on 23 March as a double gatefold CD and a vinyl LP plus free CD. Blind Butcher prepared the ground for this release with an extensive tour of Germany in February.

Voodoo Rhythm is distributed by Cargo in Germany, Irascible in Switzerland, Differ-Ant and Born Bad in France, and SRD in England. For the rest of the world, Voodoo Rhythm has set up different deals for each territory.
