Cutting edge electronica at Electron Festival Geneva, 24 – 27 March 2016

Now in its 13th year, the Electron Festival in Geneva is a celebration of everything that is possible in the vast white spaces that still cover the map of the independent electronica world. Incorporating all kinds of beautiful experimental weirdness, this year’s edition is bigger than ever and, perhaps, stranger than ever.

One of the main aims of Electron is to bring together Swiss and international artists working within the electronica field, leading, hopefully, not just to an exchange of ideas, but also to more tangible collaborative efforts. To this end, for the third year running, Swiss Music Export in partnership with Electron is organising two match-making events in order to facilitate communication between artists and accredited professionals. These will take place on Friday 25 March and Saturday 26 March between 12:00 and 15:00 at Bâtiment d’Art Contemporain (BAC).

The most eagerly awaited performances at Electron are probably those of Aïsha Devi aka Kate Wax who has a new track included in the latest compilation album from the Houndstooth label, and of Joy Frempong’s OY, who will be introducing tracks from her new album, to be released soon on Crammed Discs.

Other Swiss artists performing at Electron are: Aeroflot ; Ajele ; Argonaute ; Benotmane ; Bigmap ; Chief ; Cultural Warriors ; Demetra Vox ; DJ Klash ; DJ Lil Jeece ; Garance ; Humanity Soundsystem ; Isolated Lines ; Justice Rivah Soundsystem ; Kun ; La Foret ; La Vie C’est Facile ; Lila Hart ; Masaya ; Mimetic ; Napman ; Psyberpunk ; Pylone ; Vouipe
