Emilie Zoé and FlexFab at GéNéRiQ Festival 24 – 28 February, various cities, France

Launched in 2007, the GéNéRiQ Festival follows a rather unusual concept. Instead of being based in one place, it encompasses five citiesDijon, Besançon, Belfort, Pays de Montbéliard and Mulhouse – in three regions of France, presenting fifty artists over five days. Emilie Zoé and FlexFab will be carrying the Swiss flag at this stylish multi-boutique festival.

Emilie Zoé
Thursday 25 February – Péniche Cancale, Dijon
(with C Duncan)
Guitarist Emilie Zoé is a young singer/songwriter vaguely reminiscent with her intense and emotional songs of early PJ Harvey. Having learnt her trade in the backing band of Anna Aaron, she now performs in a duo with drummer Nicolas Pittet. Her new album will be released later in the year.

FlexFab
Saturday 27 February – La Rodia, Besançon (with various artists)
FlexFab is a turntable experimenter, beat maker, re-mixer and DJ from Neuchatel, winner of last year’s „Emerging Talent“ award at the Swiss Live Talents. He is a member of the Michigang hip-hop collective in Neuchatel as well as the Murmures Barbares music collective. Fresh from remixing Missy Elliott and Ibeyi and appearing at les Transmusicales in Rennes, FlexFab will be introducing his recently released EP „Loas“ (featuring Verveine)
