ABU’s new album set to spread its wings

Fresh from a multi-date „living room tour“ of Germany throughout the month, 29 January saw the release via Radicalis (Believe Digital/Soulfood Music) of singer/songwriter ABU’s second album, „Reset“. Already, „Reset“ has been extensively and positively reviewed in German and Swiss print media, and a number of songs have been play-listed by several radio stations, including SRF3, the Swiss version of the BBC. With „Reset“, Berne-based ABU has made a considerable artistic leap from his debut album.

Held together by an inimitable voice that manages to sound gruff and tender at the same time, the songs are complex, atmospheric and melodic. Deftly interweaving acoustic guitars and rock instrumentation with electronics, ABU serves up a diverse set of songs that range in style from the big chorus of „Hold On“ to the subtle introspection of „Trouble“. To celebrate the release, ABU will be touring Germany and Switzerland in April.
