Nicole Bernegger on tour with Simply Red

Nicole Bernegger has gone from strength to strength since winning the 2013 edition of the casting show „The Voice of Switzerland“, developing in the process from a fabulously engaging stage personality to a soul singer of great vocal power, control and presence. Her debut album „The Voice“ reached the top three of the Swiss charts. However, it is only with her second album „Small Town“, released in April and peaking at number 5, that Nicole truly has found her voice. Instead of being stuck with a pop corset that fitted her badly, and oddly chosen covers, her own song writing has come to the fore, and her confidence has soared. Produced in London by Andy Wright (Simply Red, Annie Lennox, Imelda May and many others), the album forms the basis of a vibrant new live program.

To celebrate this metamorphosis, Nicole Bernegger is undertaking a lengthy tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The first half of the tour sees Nicole performing in large arenas, supporting Simply Red (whose drummer Roman Roth, incidentally, hails from the same small town near Basel, Möhlin, as Bernegger herself). In the second leg of the tour, Nicole will be headlining her own shows.
