Autumn season, touring season

Quite a few bands supported by Swiss Music Export are at present touring in various European countries.

Disco Doom
Some years ago, the Zurich-based post-rock band Disco Doom happened to bag themselves a support slot on a gig by the touring American band Built to Spill. The Americans enjoyed their support act so much that they invited them along on several tours since. Their latest trip to Europe is no different. Disco Doom – guitarists Anita Rufer and Gabriele De Mario with Flo Götte, bass, and Tobias Schramm, drums – will be supporting Built to Spill in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France, Belgium, and UK.

Faber
Faber
is a young singer/songwriter from Zurich who has created quite a stir not just locally with his romantic, catchy and yet gritty songs of everyday urban life. Having caused a minor sensation recently with a showcase performance, he will be touring in Germany in November, accompanied only by a trombonist/drummer.

Fai Baba
Guitarist/singer Fai Baba
is a constant presence on all kinds of stages in Zurich as a guitarist with incredible flair and a muse driven by the ghosts of sixties psychedelia. After three widely-praised and deeply original albums, Fai Baba will be touring Germany from 17 November until 10 December.

Monoski
Monoski are spreading the word about their third album „Pool Party“ with six gigs in Germany. Monoski consist of Floriane Gasser, conservatory-trained violinist from Sion who plays drums here, and Lionel Gaillard, a guitarist and graphic designer from Monthey. Their speciality is a powerful combination of joyously noisy rock grooves and intriguingly unison vocal duets.

Sons of Morpheus
After two tours as a support band, the psychedelic blues rock trio Sons of Morpheus from Basel will be heading out for their own headlining tour of Germany this month.
