Swiss live acts @ MaMA:

Verveine
14.10.2015 – 00:30 – Chaufferie, Machine du Moulin Rouge
With her enthusiastically received (and reviewed) live performances at Transmusicales de Rennes 2015 and a number of other places, Verveine has created a considerable buzz in France with her gripping mix of dark Techno, Pop and the outer reaches of Electronica experimentation. Always radiating a mysterious aura, Verveine’s music takes her audience for a unsettling stroll through refined atmospheres, using her hypnotic voice to see it through her technoid maze.

Grand Pianoramax
14.10.2015 – 21:50 – Le Backstage by the Mill
Grand Pianoramax can be considered a «supergroup» which balances three strong musical personalities, each possessing outstanding mastery of his craft: the acute lyricism of Leo Tardin’s keyboards, the immediate intimacy of Black Cracker’s wild poetry, and the powerful, razor-sharp and pugnacious drums of Dom Burkhalter. The virtues of this rare alloy led the trio to perform around the globe at major festivals.

Rootwords
15.10.2015 – 22:00 – Chez Moune; Soulbeats Records Party
Born in USA and originary from Zambia, Rootwords grew up in Switzerland and became in 10 years an undeniable talent of the international Hip Hop scene. „Rapper citizen of the world“ is a good way to define his esthetic music and lyrics which traduce well his love for multiculturalism diversity and world in general. The Geneva-based rapper mixes hip-hop, electro and soul with lyrics not a million miles away from those of the band that inspired his name, Philadelphia’s the Roots.

La Gale
16.10.2015 – 21:50 – Le Backstage by the Mill; Soirée De Concert
After three years of incessant touring across Europe and performing everywhere, from punky squats to major festivals, Lausanne-based rapper and actress La Gale released her second album „Salem City Rockers“ on 2 october 2015. Still rooted in French rap, “Salem City Rockers” serves up a dark stew of rock, hardcore and blues laced with filthy samples, thundering bass and sharply political lyrics.
