At last: a new album from BOY!

BOY have announced a release date, 21 August 2015, for their long anticipated second album, „We Were Here“.

BOY are the duo of Valeska Steiner and Sonja Glass. Nearly four years have gone by since their hook-laden debut album „Mutual Friends“ charmed its way into the German and the Swiss top 10, holding on to a top 100 position for nearly forty weeks. A lot has happened to the duo since then. Mostly, they have been travelling, taking their serenely melancholic music into all sorts of remote – and not so remote – corners of the world. Judging from a grippingly atmospheric album teaser, the songs of „We Were Here“ are a reflection of the duo’s mind-expanding experiences in the course of the wildly unpredictable development of their career. Moving on from their folky beginnings with a hint of electronica, „We Were Here“ boasts a much fuller production which, far from making the music blander or shinier, emphasises the mysterious qualities of BOY’s songs.

BOY are signed to Groenland Records. They will accompany the release of the album with a short club tour in Germany and Switzerland. A more extensive European tour will be announced later.
