Klischée with a swing

Electro swing combines the brassy swagger of 1930s and 1940s big band swing with elements of present day electronic music making, including hip hop, house and techno beats. Klischée were formed by Kilian who used to play saxophone in a big band, and Domi, a jazz pianist. Also including a DJ, a rapper and a female vocalist, the influence of reggae and ska is as important to the band’s sound as that of swing and hip-hop. Over the past five or so years, electro swing developed mostly away from the gaze of conventional music media. But things are changing, and Klischée from Berne are one of the leading acts of this joyful scene.

Having headlined a sold-out Valentine’s party in London’s Village Underground club organized by the trail-blazing electro swing promoters White Mink, Klischée are now in the middle of a mini tour of Germany:

06.03.2015 – Honigfabrik, Hamburg GERMANY
07.03.2015 – Electro Swing Revolution @Astra Kulturhaus, Berlin GERMANY

They will also play at m4music on 27 March.
